Boss lady Zari Hassan has come out to console ex-lover Diamond Platinumz after he lost out on attaining a BET award.
During the 21st annual BET award which were held in Los Angeles, California on Sunday, Diamond Platinumz lost to Nigeria’s Burna Boy for the Best International Act he had been nominated.
Aside from Burna Boy, Diamond Platinumz had been nominated for the award along side France’s Aya Nakamura, Brazil’s Emicida, UK’s Headie One, Nigeria’s Wizkid, Young T & Bugsey from UK and Youssoupha, France.
In high hopes Diamond attended the event in the Masai local dress code which left many eyeing him. Also, the message from Zara may have played a role in his confidence for she assured he is a winner always.
However, Diamond Platinumz unfortunately lost the award to Nigerian singer and fashion mogul Burna Boy which not only affected him but all East Africans at large who had hoped the award would come home.
Zari was quick to lick Diamonds’ wounds and assure him that no matter what, he shall always be a winner in her eyes and one loss can never change the fact that he is the best at what he does.
Prior to the awarding ceremony, a Tanzanian Non-governmental organization had come out to collect as many petitions as possible all aimed at disqualifying Diamond from attaining the BET award.
According to them, Diamond had sided with the ruthless Magufuli government and even failed to bail out fellow artists when they had been toppled upon by the government rules by the late John Pombe Magufuli.
If this had anything to do with his loss we can’t tell, but one thing is for sure, Zari’s hopes in Diamond Platinumz shall always be high no matter what the two have previously been through.
