The Uganda People’s Defense Forces is in great mourning following the death of two army
generals in a single week. They are Maj. Gen. Paul Lokech and Gen Pecos Kutesa, one of the most humble men in uniform still.
Basing on reports that reached media today’s morning, Deputy Inspector General of Police
Major General Paul Lokech had met an untimely death as confirmed by close relatives and
It was also indicated that the beloved patriotic army man Paul Lokech had lost his life due to a blood clot
that resulted into other injuries and in the end took his life on such short notice.
Earlier on this week, on Tuesday 17th, the public was informed of the sad death of Retired
General Pecos Kutesa who died shortly after he had retired from his service in the army.
By the time he died, the retired general had been flown to India in hopes of getting better
medical attention and helping him recover from his ailments, unfortunately, we still lost him.
This brings us to the gloomy cloud that currently looms over the country’s army after two
generals Paul Lokech and Pecos Kutesa of great importance to the country lost their lives in a space of only four days.
We pray to the Almighty God to strengthen their family, friends, the army and the country at
large during this trying time after two notable figures in the country both lost their lives. May their souls rest in eternal peace.
