National Unity Platform president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has vowed to swear in as president of Uganda come 11th May.
Sources close to our newsroom revealed the information that the National Unity Platform president Robert Kyagulanyi alongside diehard party supporters will on 11th May take to the Kololo independence grounds to witness the official swearing-in of Robert Kyagulanyi a day prior to the swearing-in of President Museveni.
Bobi Wine also promises to make a countrywide tour to thank his voters for their support before finally swearing-in as the country’s next president.
According to him, the 2021 general election was rigged and his victory was robbed from him by incumbent President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
Mr Rwamirama Douglas a city lawyer, however, said it is a treasonous act to swear yourself in as a president of this country an offense that can lead you to life time imprisonment.
It should be noted that this is not the first time an event of this kind is happening as after the 2016 general election, Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye who also claimed vote rigging by then also swore himself in as the president of the People’s government.
